Bumerania: Robotics as a driver of the economy and employment

At Bumerania, we are convinced that robotics is not a threat to employment, but an opportunity to create new jobs and boost the economy. Robotics allows us to automate repetitive and tedious tasks, freeing employees to focus on more creative and strategic activities.

In this respect, we fully align ourselves with the Robotics4EU initiative: A project for the responsible development of robotics.

The Robotics4EU project is a European Union (EU) initiative that aims to promote the responsible development of robotics in the 27 member states. The aim is to ensure that robots are designed and used in a safe, ethical and sustainable way, benefiting society as a whole.

What is responsible robotics?

Responsible robotics is based on the following principles:

  • Safety: Robots must be safe for people and the environment.
  • Ethics: Robots should be designed and used in an ethical and responsible way.
  • Sustainability: Robots must be manufactured and used in a sustainable way.
  • Affordability: Robots must be affordable for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
  • Practicality: Robots must be easy to use and maintain.
  •

The Promoting Responsible Robotics Report

The Promoting Responsible Robotics Report, produced by CIVITTA, outlines a comprehensive strategy to promote the responsible development of robotics in the EU. The report includes key recommendations to:

Advance a coherent and responsible regulatory framework.

  • Empower the robotics community.
  • Encourage multi-stakeholder participation.
  • Prepare the workforce for the future.
  •

Bumerania: An Example of Responsible Robotics

At Bumerania, we design and manufacture robots for the hospitality industry that comply with all the principles of responsible robotics. Our robots are safe, ethical, sustainable, affordable and easy to use. They help restaurants reduce costs, increase productivity and improve the customer experience.

The future of robotics

The Robotics4EU project envisions a future where robotics thrives within an ethical and responsible framework. At Bumerania, we are committed to this future and are working to make robotics a positive force for the economy and society.
