#eresturismo: The 11th Benidorm Tourism Conference analyses the challenges of the sector in the digital era.<\/h2>\n

The Valencian Business Association (AVE), the Hotel and Tourism Business Association of the Valencian Community (AEFA), the Association for the Progress of Management (APD), the Alicante Chamber of Commerce, the Valencian Business Confederation (CEV Alicante), EDEM Business School and HOSBEC Valencian Community gathered a few days ago more than 200 professionals at the 11th Benidorm Tourism Conference, held at the Terra Mitica Convention Centre under the slogan #eresturismo.<\/p>\n

This conference, which has been held since 2014, aims to analyse the challenges and trends in the tourism sector, as well as highlighting its importance for the generation of employment and wealth in the Valencian Community, focusing on the challenges facing the sector in the digital era, such as training, attracting and retaining talent, competition with new tourism business models and the robotisation of the industry.<\/p>\n

Isidro Fern\u00e1ndez, president of AVE and HOSBEC, stressed the importance of collaboration between all the agents involved in the tourism sector to face these challenges.<\/strong> \u2018Tourism is a key sector for the Valencian and Spanish economy, and we must work together to maintain its competitiveness and sustainability,\u2019 said Fern\u00e1ndez.<\/p>\n
